Welcome to “Lip Rippers Sport Fishing Adventures”

Lip Rippers Fishing Adventures with Shawn Calkins has over 30 years experience fishing for salmon, steelhead, and trout on Pacific Northwest rivers, lakes, and coastal waters. From fishing on the waterways of Washington, working in the seas of Alaska, working as a chef/guide in all of Alaska’s National Parks, and vacationing on the rivers of the Oregon Coast. With encouragement from friends and family to share his expertise and love of fishing, he soon will be opening his guiding business to share his knowledge (2014 when I’m done with school), and experiences. Shawn began fishing as a young boy of the coast of Washington, working as a deckhand in Neah Bay in the early 1980’s. Shawn began guiding in 1995 on Alaska’s Kenai, Kasilof, and Kulik rivers, pursuing king salmon, coho, reds, trout on these elite streams. We fish for Spring Chinook Salmon, Fall Chinook Salmon, Coho salmon, Fall and Winter steelhead runs. On rivers such as the Columbia river, Snohomish river, Cowlitz river, Chehalis River, Humptulips river, and the Nehalem river on the central coast of Oregon. Along with rivers we fish the following tidal inlets such as Grays Harbor, Willipa Bay and Tillamook Bay off of the Oregon coast.

“Lip Rippers Fishing Adventures” is operated by Shawn Calkins. Our success and enjoyment are first class! Shawn’s professionally equipped 21′ Willies Predator Jet Boat, outfitted by Mercury Marine, Scotty Downriggers, and Bottomline electronics, means we will enjoy the day in comfort and safety.
