Directions:
Take I-5 to Conway and turn east on Highway 534, following it 6 miles to Highway 9 to the lake.
Facilities:
A state access area and boat ramp are located on the lake. There is also a resort on the west side of the lake. With boat rentals, tackle, and accessories.
Fishing Method:
Although open year around, Big Lake is at its best in the spring, summer, and early fall. This large warm shallow lake is filled with bass, panfish, and perched that are fished against the shoreline. This would be best fish with a nightcrawlers, and crankbaits. Early morings, and evenings would be the best time to fish this lake in the summer. There can be pressure from water skiers.
